Supposed to be dry or wet before period?

My LMP was June 21. Cycle lengths are 31-33 days. I was wondering if your supposed to be dry or wet down there before your period. My reasoning for asking is because my hubby and I were BD and its extremely wet. I thought it was supposed to be more dry a week before your period?!
