What To Do About Hair Dye !! Advice Needed!!?

I have a small amount of purple haze manic panic (semi perminant hair dye) left in the pot and was thinking about mixing it with conditioner and leaving it in my hair so boost the colour but im not sure if the conditioner would stop the colour effecting my hair. Like if it would at as a barrier.
